The Dodge Charger police vehicle will join the Dodge Magnum, another Dodge model formerly related to charge into the market. The two models will round out Dodge’s growing fleet of bold, dynamic and able vehicles designed for law enforcement agencies. “We listened to what legal officials asked for and paid close attention to the details that are crucial to them,” said Ray Fisher, VP – Sales, Service and Parts Operations, Chrysler Group. “By integrating features and functionality into the first design of the Dodge Charger, we are able to give our police patrons a cheap, able vehicle with leading eadge innovations.” The Dodge Charger police car should be available with a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine that produces 340 H.p at 5000 revs per minute and 390 lbs.-ft. Of torque at four thousand r.p.m.
The V-8 HEMI engine also has Chrysler Group’s Multi-Displacement System ( MDS ). This system easily swaps between smooth, high economy 4 cylinder mode when less power is necessary and V-8 mode when more power is required. With the MDS in place fuel virility is also improved by as much as twenty p.c without losing performance. The HEMI engines will also permit the Dodge Charger police automobile to accelerate from nil to 60 MPH in just 6.0 seconds when
preowned. In The Meantime, the Dodge Charger is available with a forceful 3.5 litre High Output V-6 engine hat provides 2 hundred and 50 horse-power at 6400 r.p.m and 2 hundred and 50 lbs.-ft. Of torque at 3800 r.p.m. Other glorious features include a totally electronic five gear automated transmission with an Electronically Modulated Converter Clutch offering improved shift feel to match a variety of driving Styles, eventualities and road conditions.
